FVL2- 24 best works

Fundamentals of visual language 2, like the first one was an extremely eye opening experience for me. I worked with materials that I had never used before, though initially tough I was able to increase my understanding of these tools.

Best Works from Day 1

after hours of hard work these were the first contours in which I was able to captured the essence of the flower I was working with.

Though I don’t consider this as one of my best line drawings, I still included this in my best work as this was the first time I actually observing the flowering in great detail and tried to capture each and every element of it.

This was my first attempt at a more difficult angle. I observed the flower carefully and took a risk.

Best works from day 2

I tore this shape from a single piece of paper which required great delicacy and sensitivity

I was able the capture the natural and organic form of the flower well in this work

Once again the work looks really natural and organic. I was able to give the illusion density in the petals

My technique of using two shades of yellow to showcase depth and perception was highly appreciated

Best works from day 3

Though I was not able to achieve the illusion of a spherical flower, I was able to add good amount of details in the individual petals.

I was able to add the 3D dimensionality to this work with the use of highlights and shadows

Though I am not really good at using oil pastels I was able to create a nice illusion of depth

The organic form of the flower was captured well.

Best works from Day 4

Both of my line drawings were clean, crisp, and captured the dimensionality as well as the organic nature if the flower.

I was able to make it look spherical or 3 dimensional.

The size of my drawing and the use of colours to create shadows and highlights was all appreciated

Best work from day 5

My colour extractions where accurate and my flower line drawing was organic.

The size, colours, detail, highlights, shadows of the above 3 artworks were all highly appreciated by the faculty.

Best works from day 5

My colour explorations were highly appreciated for there accuracy and tonal variations.

I used different mediums to create my petals and created a size comparison between the outer and inner petals. This was appreciated by Kishor sir who found this page extremely “beautiful”
