MY KEY REALISATIONS AND LEANINGS DURING THE PROJECT

I always associated festival with religion, never culture or community. I had a belief that ever festival is a religious activity that is used to pay homage to someone I have no faith in. I didn’t even know my community until I started doing this project. However this project changed my perspective. I now understand that culture is more than just the rituals and norms we follow. It is about the values that we are able to extract from it. A major eye opening experience for me was when I asked my grandmother for the photos of the pooja and she showed me a whole album full of photos. However there where no photos from the recent times. That’s when I realised that our culture is slowly dying and I need to play a role in protecting it.
